It’s been a while since Apple first introduced the iMessage App Store, and there are now plenty of great games you can play with friends right inside the Messages app on your iPhone or iPad. But what if you want to play an iMessage game with someone who doesn’t have an iOS device?
Fortunately, there are a few ways to do just that. Here’s how to play iMessage games on Android.
Method 1: Use AirMessage
The easiest way to play iMessage games on Android is by using the third-party app AirMessage. This app requires you to set up a server on your computer, but it only takes a few minutes and is completely free. Once you have the server up and running, simply install the corresponding Android app, enter your server address, and you should be good to go!
AirMessage supports almost all of the same features as regular iMessage, including group chats, Read Receipts, and sending attachments. The only notable exception is that Air Message doesn’t yet support playing animated GIFs (although this feature is supposedly in development). However, everything else works great, and I’ve found the performance to be surprisingly good considering it’s going through my Mac mini rather than directly from one iOS device to another.
Method 2: Use we Message
Another option for getting around Apple’s restrictions is by using we message . As its name implies , this open source project aims to bring full – fledged iMessages capabilities tablet computers like Microsoft Surface Pro or Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 devices that don’t run stock Android . How to set up iMessage games on Android?
Since Apple products are designed for use with one another, some of their features and applications can be difficult or impossible to use on non-Apple devices. iMessage is one such example—an application that lets iOS users send text messages, photos, videos, and more through the Messages app. While Android does have its own messaging app (called Messaging), it doesn’t offer the same array of features as iMessage. However, there are ways to get around this issue.
One way to set up iMessage games on your Android device is by using an emulator. An emulator is a piece of software that allows you to run another operating system within your current operating system. In other words, it lets you pretend like you’re using an iPhone even though you’re really using an Android phone. The most popular emulator for this purpose is called iPadian; however, it costs money to use. Another option is to use a free emulator like Bluestacks App Player; however, we haven’t had as much luck getting this method to work reliably.
Another way to set up iMessage games on your Android device is by jailbreaking it. Jailbreaking is the process of removing restrictions imposed by the manufacturer so that you can gain access to root level privileges. This means you can install anything you want—including unofficial apps not available in the Google Play Store—without having to worry about breaking any laws or voiding your warranty. However, jailbreaking comes with its own risks; if done improperly, it can brick (i.e., permanently damage) your phone. As such, we only recommend this method for experienced users who know what they’re doing.
